Good preserved components are far too bad for the garbage!

Concepts for R-buildings - Less is More
Towns and buildings are mines for raw materials. Building typology provides information on the extent of possible recovery. Thus, planning new buildings has a key function. Solutions for energy performance and the intelligent conception of buildings regarding efficient and effective usage of materials are urgently required. A fundamental requirement, therefore, is to plan buildings in such a manner that components can be dismantled or that construction materials can be recovered and separated. Simple and constructive solutions offer the most economic solution with the biggest benefits for the environment. The reuse of building components and the high-quality utilisation of recovered secondary raw materials prevents waste, reduces CO2 emissions, saves energy in production and reduces land use for extracting raw materials and landfilling. A component catalog under www.bauteilnetz.de lists all well-preserved components in Germany that have been removed by component stores/ exchanges. Windows, stairs, heating units or roof tiles and more are offered and sold.
The goal of the Federal Association of Components Network Germany:
Direktly reuse of as many well-preserved, used components as possible!
