GREENbimlabs offers software solutions and services for architects, building owners and material producers on the topics of safety, sustainability and cost control in all life cycle phases of BIM-based building projects.
The pilot product of GREENbimlabs is the result of more than a decade of research at the leading European universities (RWTH Aachen, ETH, TU Vienna) and is the first solution for the automated, real-time simulation and optimisation of material safety, material re-utilisation and life cycle cost in BIM-models.
The software evaluates the gaps in the material and product data as defined by the architect in the standard design process and closes them by means of real and verified product data. With a single mouse click architects can initiate the simulation process on the completed information in the BIM model, which reports on the quality of the material documentation, material risk potential, estimated material re-utilisation potential and the life cycle costs for maintenance, repair and disposal through the entire life cycle of the concrete design option. The software identifies automatically problematic and critical issues in the design (e.g. disadvantageous material combinations, connection, construction methods) and offers more optimal solutions, which are however technically and functionally equal.
For building owners this is a chance for a close to full elimination of risk in terms of material safety. The software enables fully reversible, re-utilisable buildings, with significantly reduced construction, operation and total life cycle costs, optimised for a secondary utilisation cycle with a positive monetary rest value.
The implementation of the software in BIM-based projects gives a full control over data and material safety, material sustainability and life cycle costs.
